The land is part of the Waikoloa Development master planned in the 1960s. The land is entirely within the service area of the West Hawaii Water Company (WHWC).
The lands of Waikoloa where used in WW2 for training exercise. Now known as the Former Waikoloa Maneuver Area (WMA). The Army Corp of Engineers manages the process for survey and clearance of sites. Parcel 6-8-002:016 was cleared under a Non-Time Critical Remedial Action. (I’ve attached a map showing the entire WMA and legend showing areas cleared.)
